28th Annual Portland International Film Festival
Record audiences of over 33,000 attended the 28th Annual Portland International Film Festival this past February taking in 160 screenings over the 17-day Festival.  We look forward to an equally successful 29th PIFF February 10-25, 2006 with the usual compliment of outstanding international cinema and exciting celebratory events including our Opening Night Party, Friday, February 10. The International Conference on Computer Graphics Theory and Applications

Leeds Young People's Film Festival
Leeds, UK

The Festival is for young people by young people and the 7th edition will take place this easter from 6th to 16th april. Elements include the following:

  • 3rd Leeds National Young Filmmakers Award: entries from across the UK, selected films will be screened before a public audience and panel of industry professionals. The deadline is fast approaching - (see entry form attached)
  • International Premieres of films from around the world, made specifically for young people (entry from also attached)
  • Film Academy - a host of masterclasses and workshops giving young people an opportunity to step inside the film industry, led by the professionals: 24 Hour Film Challenge, Script to Screen, Stunt combat, Animate!, VJaying, Skate film workshops.
