Family games might be fun New Years if staying in for the night. Ken Loge recommends these online games that were shared with readers of the George Town News.You won't find "Mountain Quest Hero" or "Race Track Fanatic" here. But the selection does provide a glimpse into a form of game design that can be entertaining and informative for children of all ages.
First In Flight.It is the anniversary year of the Wright Brother's first powered flight. Hop on board and take a virtual flight. The first airplane wasn't an easy craft to fly and this simulation provides the thrills of trying to fly it. The controls have been simplified but watch out for that rudder!
GEO United States Edition.This is a geography game which uses a series of puzzles designs to intrigue and teach you about people, place, and things as they relate to their locations around the world. This particular game focuses on the United States.
Puzzle Maker. Select one of three levels of difficulty - Easy, Hard, Medium. Smaller pieces maker a harder puzzel.Once a puzzle is generated you can drag and drop the pieces into place.
7x7. A fast paced puzzle game combining color and pattern recognition. The object is to trade pieces on a board until there is only one shape and color of each pie in any of the rows or columns of the playing board grid.
SWAP. A fast paced puzzle game that matches memory with pattern recognition. Just remembering the location of a piece is only half the battle.
